Marie Mcdowell

Marie McDowell, 76, of Independence, MO passed away February 15, 2009 at St. Luke’s East. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the chapel, with burial to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Marie was born August 19, 1932 in St. Louis, MO to Norman and Minnie (Atkins) Behymer. She was a homemaker as well as a long time office manager for McDowell Trash Service. Marie is survived by her four children and their spouses, David McDowell (Lesa), Leland McDowell, Carla McDowell (Larry Banham), Steve McDowell (Melissa); twenty grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three great grandchildren expected; brothers and sisters, Mary Garrett (husband preceded, Edward), Norman Behymer (Margaret), Jim Behymer (Terri), Bill Behymer (Leanne). She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Richard Behymer (wife surviving, Barbara); and one sister, Dottie Franklin.
