David Paul McGee, Sr, 68, Independence, MO passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. 64052. A celebration on David’s life will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
David was born October 9, 1944 in West Virginia, the son of Clyde and Katie McGee. He worked for Wagner Electric Brake Company for 17 years and later for Fixtures Furniture. David enjoyed fish, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn in 1993; sisters, Ruth McGee, Gladis McCollum, and Louise Dye; brothers, Jim and Cecil McGee.
Survivors include his son, Paul McGee and his wife Linda; daughter, Tammy J. Warren; grandchildren, Uneeda, Roxanne, Bobbie, Michael, Crystal, Ashley and Tabitha; 12 great grandchildren; and a brother, Dexter “Tink” McGee.
