Gloria McGinty, 78, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Villages of Jackson Creek. A visitation will be from Noon to 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 10 at Carson-Speaks Chapel with services beginning at 2:00 PM; burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 800 E. 101st Terr. Ste. 150, Kansas City, MO 64131.
Gloria was born March 5, 1930 in Collinsville, IL to Charles and Theresa (Ceretta) Ullman. She graduated from Paseo high school and then married George McGinty in June of 1948. Gloria enjoyed cooking and dominos, and loved to play all card games.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 60 years, George McGinty, of the home; son Mike McGinty, wife Doris, and their three children: Amanda, Michael, and Jessica, all of Blue Springs, MO; and sister, Norma Mohler and husband Ron of Collinsville, IL.
