Carole Iris Mcgrew (Conway)

Carole Iris McGrew, 75, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Centerpoint Hospital. She was born on February 19, 1947, in Chicago, IL to Harold and Bertha Conway.
Carole loved the Kansas City Chiefs and cheering on her favorite team. Her family had a home on Lake of the Ozarks for 25+years, where she thoroughly enjoyed the lake life. Carole loved fast cars and Nascar races, as she was truly a gear head’s wife. She was also an animal lover and most recently had a poodle-mix named Molly, who passed not long before her. We know Molly will be waiting patiently at the Rainbow Bridge for Carole’s arrival. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and the Climax Springs VFW Post 3600 Ladies Auxiliary. She served as Treasurer for Climax Springs Presbyterian Church, was on the board of her local civic organization and volunteered at a local thrift shop.
Carole is survived by her sons Brian (Christy) McGrew and Randy McGrew, grandchildren; Sandi Rogers, Austin, Joshua and Isabelle Morse, great-granddaughter Destiny Sawyer, sisters Cindy Carver and Pat Harkness, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family members who will greatly miss her. She is preceded in death by her husband Lester McGrew, her parents Harold and Bertha and her sister Linda Bush.
A memorial service will be held for Carole at 2:00 pm on Friday December 2, 2022, at Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 E 39th St. Independence, MO) The family requests that if you are able to attend, please wear your favorite KC Chiefs red attire to help celebrate Carole’s life and her love of the team on “Red Friday!”
Please join us for a “post service” open house reception from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at The Vespers Neighborhood Club House located at 405 NW Vesper Drive. (Note: This is NOT the Vespers Hall located close by.)
