Wade Lee McKinney, 83, Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Graveside services with military honors will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Wade was born December 1, 1928 in Birch Tree, MO the son of Theodore and Julia (Wade) McKinney, Sr. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War. Wade retired from Ford Motor Company in 1991 after 43 years. He enjoyed playing pool and working in his garden.
Survivors include his children, Tim McKinney and wife Debi, Junett Blatt, Darrell McKinney and wife Vicky, Daniel McKinney and wife Vivian, and David McKinney; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Wade was preceded in death by his wife, Mary McKinney in 1999; two brothers; one sister; and his parents.
