Frederick Mcmullen, Sr.

Frederick E. McMullen, Sr., 85, of Independence, MO passed away May 18, 2012 at his home. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Thursday, May 24, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Burial at Mound Grove Cemetery. Frederick was born March 1, 1927 in Independence, MO to Lee Roy and Cecil Maude McMullen. He was a devoted family man who’s greatest passion was taking care of those around him. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Rose (Wrigley) McMullen; two sons, Frederick E. McMullen, Jr. and wife Virginia and Larry McMullen and wife Kathy; one daughter, Kathy Jones and husband Jeff; and five granddaughters, Jennifer Hauck, Janelle Dozar, Amber Koebernick, Molly Huh, Elizabeth Queensland; four great grandchildren, Ashton, Dalton, Allison and Rowan; one sister, Relia Layland; and two brothers, Delbert and Merrill McMullen. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
