Marlene Mcphail

Marlene Joy McPhail, 74, of Independence, MO, passed away, Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the chapel. Marlene was born June 25, 1933 in Independence, MO and has been a lifelong area resident. She worked as a bus driver for the Independence School District for over 35 years and was currently still working. She enjoyed traveling and working crossword puzzles. She was married to George McPhail for over 49 years until he passed away in 2000. She is survived by; 3 sons, Mikell McPhail and Bryan McPhail and his fiancé Rees all of Independence, Mo and Kevin McPhail and his wife Dondra of Polo, MO; a brother, William Masterson of Buckner, MO; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David McPhail in 1994.
