Larry Merritt

Larry Merritt, 74, of Independence, MO passed away August 12, 2008 at his home. An informal time of friendship and sharing will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, at the Moose Lodge, 2537 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO. Larry was born June 25, 1934 in Kansas City, MO. Larry enjoyed sports, trivia, history, music, reading and watching movies. He started work with IBM at the age of 16, and retired in 1989. In 1995, Larry moved with his wife Jean to Las Vegas, where he loved the sun and dry heat. In 2005, after the loss of his wife, Larry moved back to the Kansas City area. He is survived by one son, David Merritt and wife Pat of House Springs, MO; one daughter, Kathy and husband Jim Lipari of Independence, MO; and six grandchildren, Wendi, Laura, Alyce and Russell Merritt and Mallory and Nicci Lipari.
