Jack Ray Metcalf, 54, Independence, MO passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Mount Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Jack was born January 1, 1955 in Kansas City, MO the son of Loyce Edward and Eva Mae (Vermillion) Metcalf. He was employed for 37 years as a machinist with Kansas City Screw Products. Jack enjoyed life and making people laugh. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and enjoyed boxing and spending time at his nephew’s home.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louie Metcalf; sisters, Denise Smith and Elizabeth Rayes.
Survivors include his son Jesse Metcalf of Kansas City; siblings, Larry Metcalf; Gary Metcalf and his wife Margie of Lee’s Summit; Wanda Graham and her husband Ed of Lee’s Summit; Robin Leach and her husband Rick of Kansas City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
