Michael "Mick" Patrick Brice

Michael (Mick) P. Brice, grew his wings on November 12, 2025, surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.

Mick was born April 06, 1959, to John (Jack) E Brice, Sr. and Marilyn H Bender in Saint Louis Missouri.

He moved to Blue Springs Missouri with the family at the age of 9 years.

He attended Blue Springs High School, graduating late in 1978, having left temporarily to help with the family vending business.

Mick spent most of his career at Kel-Welco Distributing Inc.

His career spanned Counter Sales through Branch Manager and witnessed many changes as Kel-Welco was acquired by WhiteCap Industries and then acquired by HD Supply, a division of Home Depot.

It was through Kel-Welco that Mick met his wife Karen, marrying in 1996, they shared an incredible 29 years of marriage, having been introduced by Karen’s sister Patricia (Patsy).

Later he moved on to Store Manager of BKB Construction and Sales at ACH Foam Technologies (acquired by Atlas Roofing Corp).

Mick made many many friends in the construction industry; many he remained in touch with today.

Interests included hunting and fishing, visiting with friends and an undeniable passion for his grandkids.

Mick and Karen shared several summer vacations at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson with children, grandchildren and extended family members, building many lasting memories over the years.

He was a remarkable man who left a lasting impact on all who knew him. His family is blessed to have had him in their lives.

Mick is survived by his wife, Karen Brice: daughter, Crystal (Robbie) Bunch; son, Jonathan (Leslie) Brice;

grandchildren, Kylie, Kora, Hallie, Breslin, Irelyn, niece: Kelly and numerous “bonus” family members.

Mick as preceded in death by parents John and Marilyn Brice, Sr., older brother John Brice Jr and younger brother Kevin Brice.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, 5pm-7pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel located at 18020 E 39th St S., Independence MO 64055.
