Michael David Constant passed away peacefully at his home in Independence, Missouri, surrounded by love on August 17, 2025, at 7 pm. Born on November 30, 1966, Michael lived a life filled with laughter, generosity, and devotion to his family and friends for 58 unforgettable years.
Michael graduated from Fort Osage High School and went on to enlist in the United States Navy, serving as an aviation mechanic's mate. After his return home, he began his career at Ford Motors, where he worked for over fifteen years. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Michael was deeply committed to his family. He was the most devoted husband, the most incredible father, and the most loving grandfather. He cherished moments spent together, enjoying good food, music, and the camaraderie of friends and loved ones. An avid football fan, he passionately supported the Kansas City Chiefs, sharing that enthusiasm with his family, who always came first in his heart. Michael was known for his wit and infectious sense of humor, often cracking jokes that would make anyone around to hear them laugh. A true life of the party, Michael's ability to light up a room was matched only by his selflessness—always placing the needs of others before his own. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus 10746 council, and his role as a man of faith provided him strength and purpose, guiding him through life's challenges.
Michael's passing is preceded by his father, James Constant; his dearly loved step-father, Martin Rangel; and his siblings, Ruben Rangel and Angela Rangel. His legacy of love and laughter lives on through his best friend, true love, and wife, Amber Constant; his sons, Eric Constant, Nicolas Constant, and Kyle Constant (Jenny); his grandchildren, Damien, Haven, Kyle, Sylas, and Petra; his mother, Petra Rangel; and his siblings, James Constant Jr. (Natalie), Felipe Rangel (Julie), Tony Rangel, and Laura Rangel, as well as many friends and extended family members.
Family will greet guests during a visitation at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Independence, Missouri, on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 6 pm to 8 pm. A Rosary service will commence at 7:30 pm. On Saturday, September 13, 2025, a memorial mass will begin at the church at 10 am. Michael's family will lay him to rest at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville at a later date.
