Donald E. Mitchell, 78, Independence, MO died Feb. 20, 2008. A memorial visitation will be held 2-4 pm, Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the charity of your choice.
Don was born Aug. 31, 1929 in Kansas City, MO. He worked at AT&T for 32 years and retired in December, 1980. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wanda Mitchell, of the home; daughters Debbie Leslie and husband Dr. Steve Leslie, Cedar Falls, IA; Edie Edwards and husband Dave, Kansas City, MO; son Jeff Mitchell, Independence, MO; daughters Jennie Lutjen and husband Donny, Blue Springs, MO; Susie Crosby, Independence, MO; sister Joyce Dyer, Lee’s Summit, MO; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
