Mae Mitchell

Mae Mangum Mitchell, 85, of Independence, MO passed away, Saturday, November 8, 2003 at Rosewood Health Center. Visitation will be 10:00 am Tuesday, November 11, 2003 in the Chapel at The Groves. Services will follow at 11:00. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 7611 State Line Rd, Ste. 200, Kansas City, MO 64114. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mae was born December 17, 1917 in Independence, MO to Joseph and Mary (Laudie) Mangum. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by daughters Mary (Phil) Dachenhausen of Hiawatha, KS and Edith "Edie� King of Morgantown, WV; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 nephews. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by husbands Walter Lockhart and Leonard Mitchell; and son Walter Lee. All who knew Mae well, knew her to be a "Mother in Israel� and should also be considered to be survivors who join in celebrating her final journey to be with her Loving Heavenly Father and her loved ones who have gone before her.
