Norma Lucille Mittelstadt, 78, of Independence, MO, passed away, Sunday, February 20, 2005 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 24, 2005 at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. There will be a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday evening followed by visitation until 9:00 p.m. at the Carson- Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Independence. Donations to American Cancer Society. Norma was born September 24, 1926 in Independence, MO to Robert Roy and Florence Viola (Cramer) Veith, She was a lifelong resident of Independence. Mrs. Mittelstadt was a devoted housewife and mother who delighted in her grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting dolls quilting and ceramics. She was a member of the Nativity of Mary Catholic Church. She was married to Julius Joseph Mittelstadt on October 12, 1944, who passed away August 30, 1995. Survivors include; 2 sons, Gerald Mittelstadt of Blue Springs and James Mittelstadt of Independence, MO; 5 grandchildren, Ann Neill, James D. Mittelstadt, William Mittelstadt, John Hershberger and Sonia Herrin; 3 great grandchildren, Jeffery Neill, Ryan Mittelstadt and Jacob Hicklen. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Hershberger in 1992 and 2 sons Julius Joseph Mittelstadt in 1995 and John Roy Mittelstadt in 1969.
