Ruth Monasmith

Ruth B. Monasmith, 86, of Kearney, MO, passed away March 6, 2012 at North Care Hospice House. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, at Mt. Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the North Care Hospice House. Ruth was born April 6, 1925 in Independence, MO to Thomas William and Lena Myrtle (Miller) Walker. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Wilford Monasmith. She is survived by one daughter, Melinda Pleacher; two sons, Ronald Monasmith and Buster Monasmith; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
