Wilford “Bus” Monasmith, 85, formerly of Kansas City, MO, passed away July 2, 2008 at the Camden Care Center in Harrisonville, MO. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Wilford was born February 27, 1923 in Lincoln, NE to Fred and Myrtle (Mitchum) Monasmith. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth (Walker) Monasmith; one daughter, Melinda Pleacher; two sons, Ronald L. Monasmith and Buster L. Monasmith; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
