Enid Montes, 84, of Independence, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 6th 2013. A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 10th at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055. A Prayer Service will be following at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel. A private burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Enid was a life long resident of Independence, MO. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1946. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Raul Montes; daughters, Melani Leighton – Floyd (Charles); Janet Ambrosius (Harold); Julie Berger (Dan); Christine Meyers (Steven); seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family encourages contributions to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness; PO Box 413247, Kansas City, MO 64141.
