Mildred Fern Moore, 78, passed away April 22, 2007, at Monterey Park Nursing Care Center in Independence, MO. Mildred was born June 5, 1928 in Independence, MO to Minnie Mae (Ingram) and Oscar Ellsworth Moore. She grew up in Atherton and graduated from Buckner High School. She attended Graceland College, CSMU, and Kansas City Business College. Mildred worked at a variety of businesses doing clerical and accounting. Her passion was music and reading. When her nose wasn't in a book at the dining room table, she might have been singing or participating in church related activities. She sang in the Independence Messiah and Sweet Adeline’s in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and a variety of choir and solo work. She is survived by her children: daughter, Teresa Cole and husband Gene, son, Blake Hall and son, Kelvin Hall and wife, Darlene; three grandsons, Heath Cole, Eli and Zak Hall. Mildred lived in Saskatoon with her first husband for ten years. Upon returning, she spent the rest of her time in the Independence and Blue Springs area. She was married for a time to Vernon Kithcart. The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Monterey Park Nursing Care Center and St. Mary's Hospital.
