Sandra Kay Moore

Sandra Moore, 68, of Independence, MO passed away on August 4, 2015. Celebration of Life visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Sandra was born on January 2, 1947 to Lewis and Bessie (Irving) Moore in Independence, MO. She attended William Chrisman High School and Central MO State University. Sandra was employed for over 27 years at KC Assn of the Blind, retiring in 1998. For over 30 years, Sandra was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she volunteered in the nursery. Sandra was also a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. In her spare time she volunteered at Centerpoint Hospital and Toys for Tots. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and traveling to the southern states. Survivors include; cousins Kathy Perry and Carl Perry; nephews; Darren Cox, Troy Cox, David Cox, and Trevor Cox, and many extended family members. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents.
