Shirley A. Moore

Shirley A. Moore, 73, Independence, MO. passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005 at Independence Manor Care Center. Shirley was born Sept. 24, 1932 in Mound City, MO to William and Lucille Graff, who preceded her in death. Shirley was married to Harold E. Moore who preceded her in death in 1978. She was also preceded in death by a son, Harold E. Moore, Jr., and brothers Chuck and Ronnie. She is survived by daughter, Beverly Tebbe and husband Steve; son Eddy Moore and wife Marla, all of Independence; son Earl Dean Laughlin and wife Leanne, Carthage, MO; sisters Peggy Johnson and Gloria Knapp; brothers Bill Graff and Dennis Graff, all of Mound City, MO; nine grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Shirley was employed by the Kansas City School District for 25 years as a Cafeteria manager, doing what she loved best - being around children. Shirley was a great mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by all. Services will be 2 pm, Wed., Dec. 21, 2005 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to Crossroads Hospice.
