Betty Morrison

Betty J. Wilson-Morrison, 78, Independence, MO passed away Dec. 27, 2008 at home. Services will be 2 pm, Sat., Jan. 3, 2009 at Speaks Suburban chapel; interment at Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 pm, Friday at the funeral home. The family requests contributions to the American Lung Assoc.
Betty was born Dec. 29, 1929 in Tulsa, OK. She was co-founder of the A-Zanipolo Child Care Learning Center in Independence, MO, which is family-owned. She felt each child is a special gift from God and developed an extraordinary program for children’s early education.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband John W. Morrison in 2006. She is survived by her daughter Diana Huffman and husband Fred; sons Gerry L. Wilson; Gerald W. Wilson; Darrell R. Wilson; all of Independence, MO; sister Mary Barnett, Ft. Scott, KS; grandchildren Barry Holcomb, Brittnie Holcomb, Troy Taylor, Patricia Daniels, Robin Wilson, Dewey Wilson, Jerry Wilson, Wendy Wilson, Jessica Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Luke Wilson, Nicole Wilson, Christy Wilson and Diana Wilson; and five great-grandchildren.
