Grace Morton

Grace Morton, 89, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, September 13, 2009 at her home. Grace was born April 26, 1920 to Ray and Maggie Hacker Dillee. She married Ted Lee Morton on August 6, 1938. Her greatest joy was her family and many friends. She loved working in her flower garden, collecting angels and staying in touch with her out-of-town family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Ray Dillee Jr., Roy Dillee, Ralph Dillee, and her husband of 51 years, Ted Lee Morton. She is survived by her brother Roger (wife Shirley) Dillee and sister Jean Muza; her children Ted Jr. and Joanne Morton, Diane and Rob Hanson, Scott and Florence Morton, Bob and Beatrice Morton, and Barbara Fabela; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Grace was a warm and generous person who will be missed by many. Cremation is planned with graveside services at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Mound Grove Cemetery.
