Wendell "Wick" Morton

Wendell Morton, 85, of Independence, MO passed away on April 23, 2012. A visitation for “Wick” will be from 1:00-2:30 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens, Independence, MO. Mr. Morton was born on October 26, 1926, in Pittsburg, KS to parents William Oliver and Eleanor Faye (Gilbreath) Morton. He served in the Army during WWII. “Wick” will be missed by many, and forever loved by all. He leaves behind daughter Debbie Thederahn; son, Danny Morton; son, Del Morton; daughter Carrie Heil; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
