Russell D. Moss, 75, Independence, MO passed away May 8, 2011. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1510 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO 64052; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wed at the funeral chapel .The family suggests contributions to the Salvation Army, 14700 E. Truman Rd., Independence, MO 64050.
Russell was born June 21, 1935 in Independence and was a lifelong resident. He struggled with cerebral palsy all of his life. He was dedicated to the Salvation Army and was an annual bell ringer during the Holidays. He also enjoyed growing flowers and had recently gotten an aquarium to raise tropical fish. He also loved CB radio and was a member of the Sugar Creek- Independence CB Club.
Russell is survived by his niece and caregiver for the last thirty-one years Brenda Cadwell, of the home; and nephew Bill Reynolds, Independence, MO and many other nieces and nephews.
