Warren G. Muckensturm, 73 of Independence, MO. passed away, Saturday, July 26, 2008 at North Kansas City Hospital. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 31, 2008 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel followed by cremation. Private family inurnment will be in Mt. Washington Forever cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the chapel. Donations may be made to the Loyal Order of the Moose Kansas City Lodge #10. Warren was born February 19, 1935 in Belleville, IL to John and Irma (Middendorf) Muckensturm and spent his early life in Belleville and graduated from Cathedral High School there. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1957-60. He was a warehouse worker for John Deere in Kansas City for over 30 years until his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, running, gardening and more recently spending time with his grandson. He was an active life-member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Kansas City Lodge #10 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #385. He had attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was married to Joann Higginbotham on December 12, 1959, she survives of the home. Other survivors include; a son, Scott A. Muckensturm of the home; a daughter, Suzanne D. Nichols and husband, David of Wellington, UT and only grandchild, Jackson Nichols.
