Robert E. “Bob” Mullins, 75, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009, at Research Medical Center. Private graveside services will be held Tuesday at Aubry Cemetery in Stilwell, KS. A public celebration of his life will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Since Bob was an animal lover, family suggests donations to Wayside Waifs in lieu of flowers. Bob was born July 29, 1934, in Kansas City, MO to Eugene and Victoria (Roberts) Mullins and was a lifelong area resident graduating from public schools in Shawnee Mission, KS. He then proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Bob was a true craftsman in autobody repair and owned and operated RB Body Shop in Kansas City, MO for over 27 years until he retired in 1994. Even in retirement Bob continued to work with cars. He was married to Emmy (James) Austin on November 23, 1979; she survives of the home. Other survivors include: five daughters, Mary Schneider and her husband Paul of Shawnee, KS, Jane Jones and her husband Cliff of Kansas City, KS, Lisa Westervelt and her husband Brad of Shawnee, KS, Sharon Dahmer and her husband David of Olathe, KS and Dana Weltz and her husband Jim of Holland, PA; a brother, Richard Mullins of Basehor, KS; a sister, Judy Osborn and her husband Bob of Cheyenne, WY; seven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
