Reva Munjak, 82, of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Sunday, November 23, 2008 at North Kansas City Hospital. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM Friday, November 28 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Chapel with burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
Reva was born Sept. 3, 1926 in Independence, to David and Geneva (Sterrett) Lundquist. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1944 and married Frank Joseph Munjak on September 7, 1946. She was employed with the Lake City Ammunition Plant for several years prior to her retirement in 1985. Reva enjoyed traveling around the world, china painting and crafts, going to garage sales, fishing, and was faithful to the Lord and actively involved with her church, Summit Grove Community of Christ. She was family and service oriented, doing things for others gave her joy. More than anything, Reva loved her family and they will miss her for her independent, outgoing nature.
Reva was preceded in death by her daughter Judy Mitchell in 1975, husband Frank in 1978, and five siblings: Bill Lundquist, Harold Lundquist, Laura Reese, Duane “Red” Lundquist, and Richard Lundquist. She is survived by her children: Dennis Munjak and wife Marlena and daughter, Michelle Norman and husband David; grandchildren: Bryan Munjak and wife Rebecca, Kelly Cooper and husband Jeff, and Todd Munjak; great-grandchildren: Danielle, Ruth, Leah, Benjamin, Alexander, and Luke; sister Lucille Stumpenhaus; sisters-in-law: DeLois and Billie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
