Patricia D. (Harvey) Myers, 75 of Independence, MO, passed away Oct. 21 2008 encircled by her family. Services will be at 10 am, Friday, Oct. 24, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 �" 8 pm, Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the William Chrisman High School Art Dept.
Patricia was born July 10, 1933 in Chicago, IL. Her family moved to Independence while she was a child and she graduated from William Chrisman High School. She was a cosmetologist for over thirty years. She was also a very accomplished painter who won numerous awards in art shows and served as a judge at various art competitions. Her works are displayed throughout the Independence community. She was a member of the National League of American Pen Women and a Past Vice President of the Independence Art Association. She also taught art classes from her home for many years. She was a member of the Community of Christ.
Patricia was preceded in death by her mother Pansy Meyer. She is survived by her husband David E. Myers, of the home; son David L. Ross; daughter Pamela D. Smith and husband David, all of Independence, MO; her father George H. Meyer and wife Gertie, Hermitage, MO; brother Tom Meyer and wife Carol, Independence, MO; sister Donna Keesee and husband Vernon, Wheatland, MO; grandchildren Kimberly Jackson and husband Jason; Susan Inestroza and husband Walter; great-grandchildren Airieanna, Madelynn, Gabriela, Walter Jr., Elizabeth, Christopher, Winter; and many nieces and nephews.
