Kathleen Anne (Lee) Nash, 90, Independence, MO passed away Monday, September 6, 2010.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
Kathleen was born July 7, 1920 in Lincoln, NE. She lived in the Independence area most of her life and was a homemaker. She had worked as a banquet hostess for Holiday Inn as well as Rockwood Country Club, where she met President Harry Truman as he attended a dinner there. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Paul Nash, Sr. December 6, 1973; siblings Emily (William) Pixley, Mary (Roy) Rush, and Henry (Margaret) Sapp.
Survivors include her sons, Paul A. (Linda) Nash, Jr. of Missouri City, MO; Stephen W. (Gail) Nash of Taos, NM; Randall D. Nash of Grain Valley, MO; daughter, Sue Ann Mills of Independence, MO; six grandchildren, F. Shawn Nash, MO., Stephanie Nash, Liberty, MO., John Nash, Kirksville, MO., Karen Diaz, Shawnee, KS., Brian Nash, Shawnee, KS., Heather Posch, Arlington, TX., three great grandchildren, Jacob, Beau and Amelia Kathleen as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
