Coy J. Nave, 93, of Pleasant Valley, MO passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Liberty, MO. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 23rd at Pontiac Cemetery, Pontiac, MO.
Coy was born April 21, 1921 as one of nine children to Jacob and Martha (Johnson) Nave. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps where he proudly served his country during World War II. He married Ruth I. (Turner) on June 18, 1956. Together, they raised two children. He worked for Ford Motor Company for over 33 years retiring in 1982. Coy enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his vegetable garden. He was a long time member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. His family remembers him as a loving, well mannered, and Godly man.
Survivors include daughters, Sandra Black and husband J.R.; Cynthia Woods and husband Tommy of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, William James, Christopher and Marcus Woods. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; sisters, Goldie Rigsby, Ruby Wiggins, Pauline Whisnant, and Faye Nave; brothers, Tol, Rex, Elza and Tan Nave.
