Billie Joe Neil, 58, Blue Springs, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at his home after a short battle with cancer.
Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Monday August 15, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO. A celebration of Joe’s life will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2011 at the funeral home.
Joe was born October 25, 1952 in Bolivar, MO, the son of Dwight J. and Helen M. (VanZandt) Neil. He was a 1971 graduate of Raytown High School. He was employed with Associated Wholesale Grocers for 34 years as a truck driver. Joe enjoyed spending time at his lake house, deer hunting and taking motorcycle trips with his wife on their Harleys. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife, Belle Neil; sister, Mary Bass, cousin Jack and other family members. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Assistance in Healthcare, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, PO Box 396, Zion, IL 60099 or Village Hospice, 400 NW Murray Rd, Lee’s Summit, MO 64081.
