John Nichols

John LeRoy Nichols, 81, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Friday, September 10, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, 9020 E. 51st Terr., Kansas City, MO 64133. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel where the rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Burial in Brooking Cemetery. John was born September 28, 1928 in Kansas City, MO to Seth LeRoy and Mildred (Martin) Nichols. Mr. Nichols retired in ’93 from Tension Envelope after 44 years of dedicated service. John was an active and faithful member of St. Bernadette’s Church. He was a volunteer at Voy Spears Elementary School in their reading program. John is survived by his daughters Terrie Turner and husband Gene, Debbie Teaney, Sandy Landau and husband Dan; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two additional on the way; one sister and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Gerrie Nichols in ‘07; grandson Jason Teaney in ’09.
