Juanita Nichols

Juanita Reddell Nichols, 89 of Independence, MO passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct 13, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:30 until service time Saturday at the chapel. Juanita was born to George & Dorothy Reddell in Vendor AR on 2-5-33. She was an amazing quilter which she learned from her mother. After retiring for the KC Royals in 1995, she and her husband of 55 years, Monroe Nichols started traveling the country and enjoyed many special trips including a cruise for their 50th wedding anniversary. Juanita is survived by her daughter Judy and husband Sal Donze, one sister, Geneva Brown and many nieces and nephews. She was also loved by her son-in- law Sal's big family who welcomed her with open arms. She was preceded in death by her husband Monroe Nichols, her parents George and Dorothy Reddell, her sister Jewel Criner, and brothers Walter Harold, Ernest and Eugene Reddell.
