Independence, MO passed away Feb. 13, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House. Services will be at 2 pm, Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the Kansas City Hospice House, 9221 Ward Pkwy, Ste. 100, Kansas City, MO 64114.
Freida was born May 9, 1942 in Vandalia, MO. She worked at the Lipton Plant in Independence for twenty-six years before retiring in June of 2004. She was a member of Teamsters Local #838. She enjoyed socializing and loved her family.
Freida was preceded in death by daughter Diane Francis. She is survived by son Jonathan Nickens, Independence, MO; four granddaughters, twelve great-grandchildren and two sisters.
