Donna Nieder

Donna E. Nieder, 55, of Independence, MO was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009 in the chapel. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Donna was born November 30, 1953 in Independence, MO to Paul and Ruby (Call) Carrender. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior on October 3, 1965! Mrs. Nieder graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1972 before attending Penn Valley Community College graduating in 1976. She was united in marriage to Leon Nieder on May 21, 1976. Donna loved her nursing career in Obstetrics. She volunteered at Rachel House teaching childbirth classes and enjoyed sewing and crafts in her spare time. Donna was an active and faithful member of Plaza Heights Baptist where she was active in Bible Drill and Vacation Bible School in the summer. Donna was blessed with giving to others without them knowing. She was always encouraging and mentoring young nurses in training. Mrs. Nieder is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Leon Nieder; children Joanna Kubach, Travis Nieder, and Nicole Nieder; grandson MaGarrett Kubach; parents Paul and Ruby Carrender; brothers Wayne Carrender and wife Jan, Roger Carrender and wife Dee, Dale Carrender and wife Joyce, Brent Carrender and wife Cindy; and by a host of nieces, nephews and many special friends.
