Sarah Nigro, 34, of Independence MO passed away Friday, April 26th 2013. The story of Sarah’s gift started January 19th 1979 when she was born to Terry and Linda (Wayne) Miller in Kansas City. Because she wanted to participate with her friends, she achieved six varsity letters including Track, Debate, and Cross Country before graduating from Truman High School. She was a life long member of Birchwood Baptist and encouraged everyone she knew to attend. Sarah met her future husband, Ben, in the summer of 1997. They later attended Southwest Baptist University. After their marriage in 2002 they had two children. Sarah also graduated from the State Highway Patrol Academy but her grace and love for other kept her from doing harm to anyone. She has most recently worked for Villages of Jackson Creek as a CNA caring for the patients. Sarah is described as gracious, generous, loving, and most importantly, non-judgmental. Her gift to others was her friendship and kindness, because she never met a stranger. Sarah is loved and will be missed.
She is survived by husband, Ben Nigro and son, Matthew of Independence; parents, Terry and Linda Miller; brother, Brett Miller and wife Janette; nieces, Amanda, Madelyn, and McKenzie Miller; grandmother, Patricia Andersen; mother in law, Sonna Rowe; father in law, Michael Nigro and wife Susan; grandparents by law, Louis and Mary LeGrand; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
