Betty Noble

Grace Elizabeth “Betty” Noble, 91, of Independence, MO peacefully passed away Sept. 23, 2013. Graveside services will be at 2 pm, Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 at Mound Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Kansas City, 3846 W. 75th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208. Betty was born August 22, 1922 in Kansas City, MO to Forest and Eva (Weise) Bown. She was a faithful and active member of the Community of Christ Good Shepherd Congregation. Mrs. Noble attended Graceland College for two years and graduated from University of Kansas with a degree in physical education. She taught kindergarten for many years in the Independence School District. Betty was a member of the Laurel Club, Young Matrons and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. Mrs. Noble is survived by her children Richard W. Noble and wife Anna Kiefer, Nancy A. Shields, Gary L. Noble and wife Barbara; grandchildren Mollie Berry and husband James; Sarah Akolor and husband Doss; Lauren Groom and husband John; Holley Noble; Eryn Noble and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Loyd Noble in July, 2009.
