Maxwell Phillip Noear, 70, of Kansas City, MO passed away Thursday, January 15, 2009 at St. Luke’s Plaza. Visitation will be 5-8:30 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Traditional services will be held at the Cultural Center in White Eagle, OK on Sunday, January 18, 2009 starting at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Max was born October 26, 1938 in Pawnee, OK to Jack and Salina Noear. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Noear was proud of his Native American culture and community, coming from the Ponca Tribe. He enjoyed passing the traditions on to his children and grandchildren. Max loved participating in Pow Wows, singing and dancing! Mr. Noear is survived by his wife of 24 years, Flo (Homewytewa) Noear; sons Haygah Noear, Haynah Noear; grandchildren Malachi, Stacie Ann, Gina Maria and a fourth to be born in April; also by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. Max was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and two sisters.
