Norma June Lewis, born on February 2, 1938, in Buckner, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, in Independence, Missouri. She was a spirited individual, well-known for her lively personality and social nature. Norma found joy in the gatherings she shared with others and particularly relished her time playing B.I.N.G.O., where her infectious laughter and enthusiasm would light up the room. Norma was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, often displaying her unwavering support for her beloved team. In addition to her passion for sports, she displayed remarkable artistic talent, enjoying watercolor painting, which allowed her to express her creativity. She also cherished the art of knitting, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her love for handmade crafts. She is survived by her loving cousins, Lisa Ethington and Mildred Ethington, who will remember her fondly and carry on her spirit. Norma was preceded in death by her father, Cecil C. Lewis, and her mother, Edith (Case) Lewis.
A graveside service to honor Norma will be held at 10:00 AM on August 12, 2025, at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence, MO. All are invited to gather in remembrance of a cherished soul who enriched the lives of those around her.
