Norma Jean Lorance (Ginn), 91, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away on February 26, 2026. Norma was born on January 13, 1935, to Charley and Velma (Helm) Ginn in Independence, Missouri.
After graduating from William Chrisman High School, Norma dedicated most of her professional life to BKPG & Tax, where she found not only employment but a sense of purpose. Norma was incredibly proud of her work and enjoyed each moment spent in her profession, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to her responsibilities and serving her community.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Norma found great joy in watching sports. She was a devoted fan of the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs, often cheering for her teams with infectious enthusiasm. Additionally, she enjoyed watching the car races, anticipating the thrill and excitement it brought.
As we remember Norma Jean Lorance, we celebrate a life well-lived, characterized by her dedication to her profession, her passion for sports, and her warm spirit that touched so many. She will be greatly missed.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Janice Monley (Mike); sons, Ricky Dilks and David Dilks (Youngbok); grandchildren, Corey Monley, Joseph Dilks, Rachel Dilks, Ricky Dilks and Kristina Martin (Jeff); and great grandchildren, Rhys Monley, Rylan Martin, Jabin Martin, Cadence Dilks and Claire Dilks.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Lorance Sr.; parents, Charley and Velma Ginn and granddaughter, Callie Dilks.
A visitation will be held on March 6, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Carson-Speaks Chapel, located at 1501 W Lexington Ave, Independence, MO 64052. This will be followed by her funeral service at 10:00 AM, concluding with a burial at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133.
