Teresa "Terri" Norton

Teresa Sue Norton, 71, Independence, MO passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012 surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2012 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church; 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd, Independence, MO 64055. A memorial mass will be at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Inurment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas City Cancer Action or University of Kansas Cancer Center.
Terri was born January 28, 1941 in Independence, MO the daughter of John and Marion (Kauth) Layden. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s grade school and Wm. Chrisman High School. Terri was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bridge, mahjongg, painting and interior design.
Terri was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Howard, and her father.
Survivors include her loving husband, Bill of the home; daughter, Lori Hagan and husband Rich; sons, Greg Howard and wife Carol, Brian Howard and wife Teresa; 15 grandchildren; mother, Marion Layden; sister Rebecca Campbell and husband Dick; brother, John Layden, Jr. and wife Suzi; step daughters, Linda Dennis and husband Mike, Susie Brownrigg and husband Russ, Valerie Wanner and husband Bill, and Rebecca Suarez and fiancé Dick Ringer; and numerous nieces, nephews and family.
