Richard Ohden

Richard E. Ohden, 82, of Blue Springs, MO was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial in South Point Cemetery, Orrick, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, 6400 Prospect Ave., #300A, Kansas City, MO 64132. Richard was born April 30, 1929 in McIntire, IA to Dirk and Anna Marie (Bowers) Ohden. He is survived by his wife Vera (Kinnaman-Hughes) Ohden; children Barbara Briggs (Mike), Richard K. Ohden (Debbie), Judith Frana (Terry), Candace Allen (Charles), Randy Davis (JoEllen), Wayne Hughes (Hope), Thomas Hughes (Lori), Kathi Rogers (James); 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife Wyllis “Billie” Brooks; second wife Joyce Zesinger; and by one brother and one sister.
