Deborah Ann Oldham, 52, passed away on July 8, 2015. Family will greet friends on Monday, July 13, 2015, from 6-8:00pm, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St in Independence. A funeral service will be held at the chapel on Tuesday, July 14, at 10am. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Deborah was born on November 14, 1962 in Kansas City, MO. She graduated Truman High School and became a licensed cosmetologist, and later went back to college to study nursing. She had a heart of gold – her warm smile and kind demeanor touched so many lives. She never met a stranger, and gave generously of her heart and her time. She loved her Lord and Savior, and had a very close relationship with Him.
Deborah is survived by the love of her life, Steve Stewart, and their son, Jesse Stewart (wife, Joanie); parents, Don and Jackie Oldham; brother, Don Oldham, Jr. (wife, Marsha); granddaughters, Gillian and Kynlee Horton; uncles, Jerry Congdon and Sherwood Oldham; nephew, Brandon Oldham; best friend, Johnnie Sue Murphy; and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gary “Joey” Horton; brother, Leo Oldham; grandparents, Leo Oldham and Ann Fanara-Oldham; and aunt, Josephine Oldham, and others who have passed before her.
