Ethel G. Olson, 96, of Independence, died March 9, 2007 at Research Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9-10 A..M. at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Carson-Speaks Chapel on Tuesday. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Antioch Cemetery in Holt, Missouri.
Ethel was born in Holt, Missouri on March 25, 1910 the daughter of Roscoe and Lodemia (Dykes) Wayman. She was a graduate of Holt High School. Ethel was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri and her church and her faith were a very important part of her life.
She is survived by two sisters, Edith Bond of Cabot, Arkansas and Melba Barnard of Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
