Geraldean “Jerri” O’Malley, 75, Falls City, NE, formerly of Indpendence, passed away Feb. 8, 2010 in Kansas City, MO after a brief battle with cancer. Graveside services will be at 3 pm, Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens in Independence, MO. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1�"2:30 pm, Friday at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Groves Hospice, 1500 W. Truman Rd., Independence, MO 64050.
Jerri was born April 17, 1934 in Joplin, MO. Her family moved to Independence and she attended William Chrisman High School. She lived in Falls City for many years and worked at Schulmberg Bakery for over twenty years where she was known as “the Donut Lady”. She attended the Good News Assembly of God Church.
Jeri was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Schreier and four grandchildren. She is survived by daughter Cheryl Quirk; son William O’Malley; daughter Dianna Newell, all of Kansas City, MO; sister Patricia Page, Independence, MO; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
