Harold Edward Osburn, 81 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at NorthCare Hospice. Graveside services with full military honors will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO. Donations may be made in his name to the Wounded Warriors. Harold Was born January 11, 1934 in Kansas City, MO to Richard E. and Edna M. (Weaver) Osburn. He had served in the US Navy for over 20 years and retired in 1973 at the rank of Petty Officer. He enjoyed playing poker, bowling and listening to country music. He was a member of the Baptist church and the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by: his wife, Norma Jean of the home; 4 children, Jeryl Barnett of North Kansas City, MO, Sherry Cremer of St. Joseph, MO, Galen Osburn of Raytown, MO and Jennifer Thomas of Independence, MO; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and friends.
