Danny Owen

Danny Wayne Owen, 66, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2011 in the chapel. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Danny was born September 4, 1945 in Grandview, MO to Wayne and Maple (Reed) Owen. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. Mr. Owen enjoyed creating leather works. He played Santa Claus and the Old Man Prospector at Missouri Town and Shawnee Mission Park for the past 10 years. Danny is survived by his wife of 23 years, Rhonda (Robison) Owen; children Michael, Randy and John Owen; sister Wilma Stotts; in-laws Billy and Doris Robison. He was preceded in death by his parents.
