Viola Mae Pack, 89, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Centerpoint Medical Center. A visitation will be from 9-10:00 AM Monday, April 19 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence with services beginning at 10:00 AM; burial at Mound Grove Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Pack was born June 30, 1920 in Stoddard County, MO to George and Hattie Jane (Sinsabaugh) Seets. She married Clyde Travis Pack on October 6, 1937 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Together they raised six children. In 1957 they moved to Raytown and then Independence in 1959. Viola was a lifelong member of the Community of Christ Church and enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Pack in 1992; son David Pack in 1952; two brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by her children: Leona Evelyn Pack of the home, Larry Pack and wife Lyla of Battlefield, MO, Daniel Pack and wife Martha Jean of Lee’s Summit, MO, Gary Pack of Madison, WI, Ron Pack of Grandview, MO, and Rita Capehart of the home; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren.
