Billie Lee Pallett, 84 of Raytown, MO passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at St. Luke’s East Hospital. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2015 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with cremation to follow. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the chapel. Donations may be made in his name to the Salvation Army. Billie was born November 29, 1930 in Girard, KS and graduated from Girard High School in 1949. He then joined the US Navy and proudly served during the Korean Conflict from 1951-55. He later graduated form Pittsburg State University with a business degree. He had worked as a manager for Kroger’s Grocery, Price Chopper and later owned his own store with his son and grandson, Chris. He enjoyed flower gardening and antique collecting in specializing in business signs. He is survived by: his loving wife of 50 years, Marian Pallett of the home; a son, David Pallett and wife Debra and 2 grandchildren, Tara and Chris.
