Mike Pallo

Mike J. Pallo, 89, of Independence, MO passed away on February 17, 2008 at his home. Contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice. Mike was born on November 5, 1918 in Sugar Creek, MO to John and Mary Pallo. Mike achieved the rank of Tech. Sgt. in the United States Army during WWII. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, as well as with the Army 110th Engineers. He worked for Standard Oil Co., and then for General Motors, where he retired. For many years he was a very active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and reading books. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Pallo; parents, John and Mary Pallo; and one brother, John Pallo. He is survived by his two sons, Steve (Christi) Pallo and Jim (Janice) Pallo; two grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher Pallo; two granddaughters, Cassy and Megan Pallo; three brothers, Frank Pallo, Joe (Mary) Pallo and Eddie (Reba) Pallo; two sisters, Ann (Barry) Berislavich and Mary Pope.
